I bought this to connect electronics rated at 8.5 amps.During testing at full transmit power the radio turned off. Thinking the fuse was blown I checked all of them including the one directly in the plug (10A rating). I smelled burning plastic so I opened the plug and the spring supporting the fuse melted into the plastic and lost its elasticity, the power went out because the middle was no longer connected through the spring. So according to the specs in my gear I had a max current of 8.5A. Judging by the fuse in the block I didn't exceed 10A but the connector broke anyway. It looks solid, but I'd be wary of the actual power draw.
