Filters are not new to me. I have purchased dozens of filters in the three years that I have owned a Honeywell humidifier. Maybe one day they figure out how it works so you don't have to change filters every week or so, but right now we have to buy a lot of filters. I have bought genuine Honeywell filters as well as several generic brands. Many dry out too soon or have other issues, but these are the first ones I've seen that were just poorly made. They appear to be the same material, but the ones I got weren't even rectangular. They were folded at one end. I thought that maybe those who were in suitable and dragging water spread (like a sponge) - no. As a result, air can bypass them instead of flowing through them, and they just don't work very well. I will continue to buy generics but not this one.
