Keeps out drafts well. I have used this in our master bathroom and the temperature is noticeably cooler there. The glue is a little weak, that's why I gave it one star. So make sure your measurements are correct to avoid having to remove and replace the strip. For the people who mentioned that it falls off easily, they most likely didn't properly clean the surface it was supposed to be sticking to. If you use it on a dirty surface, it just sticks to the dirt and then immediately falls off! The surface must be clean and dry before applying the sealer.
