Review on 🔌 Portta VGA + 3.5mm Audio to HDMI Mini Converter - Uncompressed 2 Channel Support - White by Greg Hammett

I bought this to convert my old laptop into my old (but still HD) TV screen - it's cheaper than buying a new laptop after all. I have to say it works wonderfully. I don't remember it saying "Not for Windows 10" when I got it. However, I got Windows 10 through a free upgrade and it still works surprisingly well with it! When I connected the serial cable, my laptop recognized the second screen and started duplicating. From there, all I had to do was set up the second screen the way I wanted it. All in all this is really very good. The only issues I have are more of an annoyance than actual issues with the device. They're not even worth shooting at a star. When the screen first appears on the TV or when I put it back on the laptop my background fades leaving a black background and foreground icons. However, the background seems to come back after about a minute. My other problem is that instead of just turning off the serial port when I'm done, I have to go into the control panel and say to show it only on the laptop screen. Again not that big of a problem. Those two together would make me deduct half a star. Maybe. Please note when purchasing that only one adapter and one power cord (at least mine) are included. You will need a serial cable, an HDMI cable (I recommend RevainBasics High Speed HDMI Cable - 6.5 feet (2 meters) with Ethernet, 3D, 4K and Audio Return), and a 3.5mm cable (for audio). All in all a very good product for the money.
