According to the product, 10 gallons is recommended for this air pump. Mine is set at 16 gallons and works great. So if anyone is wondering if the tank could be a bit bigger and the air pump still looks good, the question is yes! I turned on my air pump for the first time. Today my two new guppies were just as happy as my GloFish Tetras! You were very curious! This air pump is very quiet with a relaxing sound of bubbles hitting the water surface. Complete 5 stars! Update (07/27/18): Air pump stopped working after about 7 months. It's not even worth taking off the stars because an 8 euro product that works for 7 months is still worth my money in my opinion. I just bought a new one and it works like a charm! I also updated the product video. Love love this bubbler!
