Review on πŸ‘’ Timberland PRO Pitboss Steel Toe Brown Boots by Christopher Wells

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Only buy if you know a good shoemaker.

I had problems with these boots from day one. I've read a lot of reviews and it seems like the pair I got had all the typical issues I read about. First there is a seam on the back. the heel where 2 pieces of leather are connected. This seam is very tight and cuts into the heel, mainly on the right foot, but it was bad on the left foot too. After a few days hoping they would break, I decided to stretch them myself, stuffed the toe and used a fat hex wrench to press on the heel, wet the skin and left it on overnight, 3 days. Do this every night and I could finally put up with these boots. The steel toe box feels tight and too short, completely exposing my pinky toe. (This is not a reason to deduct a star as they are advertised as 6" but a personal complaint.) 2 months almost a day after receiving these boots and this morning I lace up my boots for work and the fourth eye (outer loop in front). Quick lacing on top) popped out. Upon inspection I noticed the rivet appeared to be poorly formed so now I can send it back in the mail and wait for new ones to arrive just to be sure of the ultimate breakage digging into my heels again.I won't be buying anything from this company again, I bought the boots for about $90 now they are $120 and definitely not worth the price.
