I ordered the larger size chews to send off in puppy gift bags for a litter of ten that were going home to their new owners. When they arrived, I realized they were too big, so I doled them out to my pet dogs and they loved them. I didn't smell anything when I opened the bag.Then, I ordered the smaller size for the puppy packets. When they arrived I opened the bag and put one in ten separate gift bags that were sitting on a table in my office for a few days before the puppies went home. The bags sat with open tops. I never smelled anything, and my pet dogs that hang out in the office didn't seem to smell anything, either. The day after the first three puppies went home I received two notes from the puppy buyers asking what the product name was because their puppies LOVED them. I suppose some lots may smell more than others, but I didn't have that problem, and dogs from 8 week old puppies to my 13.5 year old gal loved them. On a negative note - I would prefer that they lasted longer (like a bully stick), but I don't know if my dogs care about how long their chews last!
