Review on 4th Generation Sky Blue 10.9-inch Apple iPad Air with 64GB and Wi-Fi by Stanislaw Gorka ᠌

Good product, more pros than cons.

After a year and three months of use, some small part of the processor burned out and the tablet was discharged to zero after a few hours of inactivity and even a factory reset did not help (fortunately it was changed under warranty), perhaps because I played games and the 5nm process technology turned out to be too thin . They say that the thinner the technical process, the less the resource, although then, in theory, this would be a massive problem, but a significant part of users play. It is possible that the thinner the channels through which the current flows (someone said about the manufacturing process itself, that it is like drawing a picture with a rake), the greater the percentage of defects. The new iPad switched to power saving mode on the very first evening (why do I need this excess power?) And set myself a strict ban on any games, and I will always use it, because the less often it needs to be charged, the slower the battery degrades. By the way, I always charge all my devices on a timer to keep the charge level within 45-77% (40-80 is the maximum), this will increase the battery life three times compared to the usual consumer attitude (we live once and let the dead battery will be a headache for the next owner), and I want to treat everything as responsibly as possible, no matter how long I intend to use the thing. I like the true tone function, without it the eyes become instantly uncomfortable. It's good that the browser has the ability to install an ad filter, the absence of ads on sites and YouTube is just fine! In general, I was satisfied with the purchase and I will also buy an iPad as a gift, but let the phone remain on Android so that you can download at least something from YouTube through Newpipe, sometimes you can listen to video or music at work, and iPad for home use.

Pros
  • This is my first device from Apple, I bought it because of the relatively thin frames and LCD screen, because on Samsung (with divine sound) PWM hurt my eyes. I got used to the new system with pain, but now I'm not going to switch to android only because of the long support (ates). If the manufacturers of android devices would ate the software for the same long time, then I would choose a cheaper one, because with my use it doesn’t matter in which browser to open the page.
Cons
  • The screen blurs quickly. I pasted premium Spigen glass with oleophobic, now it's a pleasure to use, the finger glides perfectly and there are simply no fingerprints. I advise everyone, and save the screen, and if you decide to sell, they will buy faster, because everyone wants a device in perfect condition. The sound is of course very mediocre (compared to Android tablets with four speakers), but I mostly use headphones. If I had to turn on audio recording for other people, then I would be ashamed of such a sound and I would buy normal speakers. The text is very blurry when scrolling, stronger than on the phone at 60Hz, apparently the response time is high. There are a lot of extra functions in the operating system that I simply do not need and eat resources. I turned off Siri and search in all applications, auto-ate of data, Latitude, geolocation and Air drop, I turn on airplane mode at night, now one percent of the charge is spent overnight and when used, the charge is consumed more slowly than before.
