I wish I had done this sooner. Remember driving your Jeep before you lifted it up and put those giant tires on it? My 2014 JKU Rubicon always felt sluggish after my lift and tires (2.5" lift and 35" tires). It still has plenty of torque and guts, so it wasn't bad, but it just wasn't as bouncy. In addition, the speedometer and odometer were switched off. These details didn't really bother me, but after a little research I found that larger tires also affect the shift points of your automatic transmissions. Your vehicle runs at higher RPMs and shifts incorrectly because it is not calibrated for large tires. It took less than 10 minutes to update this tool on my computer and then it took 5 minutes to recalibrate the tire size. I immediately took it for a ride and noticed a huge difference. RPMs were lower, gas mileage was reported correctly and the speedometer was correct (used GPS speeds, measured trip odometers and used city speed readers to verify). I don't recommend this for any reason other than updating the shift points on your transmission. It runs smoother and has regained its original automotive appearance. It has many other features that I will definitely use later, but for now what I like best is the size of the tires.
