I originally bought this unit to be able to manage keys in a 2004 Pilot. After purchasing the device, I found other uses for this self-service tool that I use on all my cars from different manufacturers. One of the first things you need to do with this tool is to update to Android and install Autel app. . When I received this device, I believe the total time to complete the update was around four hours. After the updates were performed, the attachment that plugs into the vehicle's OBD port also required an update, which took between a minute and two. While I have cheaper scanning tools, including one that I can use with my iOS or Android devices, the full range of uses this bi-directional tool offers was well worth the extra cost to justify this purchase. I haven't read enough to understand what all the attachments in the kit are for, but it's good to have them on hand in case I need them later.
