This thing has been working fine for 7-8 months now. I couldn't ask for more in terms of price/reliability during my ownership time. I have a shallow 24" long reef tank. If I get the swing too perfect it will create ridiculous 3-4" waves knocking water out of my aquarium! I obviously typed it a little less efficiently to prevent this .Strength seems to decrease after about 12" but enough to hold water. Disengaged after a full 24". I'm thinking of adding a second one on the other side for extra turbulent flow. Update 27 January 2019 Still works great In this price range it's worth it.
