I purchased this product to use with the SSD on my Home Media Server MacPro 2008. I didn't want to buy a new hard drive sled that didn't match the other 3 original hard drive sleds for installing a new SSD , so I went with that option. It's cheap and it works. One of the concerns I had was that it might slow down the speed of the SSD. This is another component that interacts with the SSD and the computer, so there's always a chance that cheap components can cause a noticeable speed slowdown. I am happy to report that this is not the case. I used the AJA system test and it showed the same results before and after the conversion kit. I was going to give this product 4.5 stars, but rounded it up to 5 because that wasn't possible. The only thing that bothered me is that the SSD is not attached to the kit with screws. Instead, it is held in place by a connection point and a counterbalance lever that is depressed after the sliding door is closed. It works, but a secure attachment with screws would be better.
