Review on Abus Bordo Combo Bicycle 3 5 Feet by Jeff Wells

Beautiful equipment for a faithful steed

Really cool design. My previous cable lock no longer worked and I'm glad about that. When I first started looking for a replacement, I was shocked by the horror stories I'd come across for literally every type of bike lock. It's something I've never taken too seriously, but it would be downright DAMAGE if I didn't take the proper precautions and lost my precious bike. For now, it's beyond sentimental value. Thousands of kilometers, daily driving. that would be hard. So, I liked the convenience of a cable lock, but it cuts too easily (and most importantly, fast) with the right tools. The AU lock (or D lock as it's known in Europe) is at the completely opposite end of the spectrum. Inconvenient, limited range, heavy, intrusive. I find this lock from Abus the perfect balance. I'm more limited in the amount of support I use, especially if I want to fit a front or rear wheel along with the frame. This change wasn't enough to even remotely become a problem. It seems a little strange to use at first. However, this changed quickly. Installing this lock is incredibly easy, even easier than a cable that can be rolled in place. Simply hold the body of the lock with the combination facing you and the links will literally do the rest with minimal effort. The best thing about this pack is the slim profile and holster. It doesn't bother at all, if placed correctly it has no effect on wind resistance. I use velcro straps to attach it to the seatpost where the second water bottle will be. I was thinking of mounting it but wanted to quickly transfer the lock to another bike. I am very happy that I chose this castle. The perfect balance of safety, comfort, weight and minimalism. I've considered getting a 6500 but I think it will be too heavy, wider and therefore likely to protrude slightly from the bike frame. I'm not in a bad town for bike theft, so I didn't think the sacrifice of weight, size, and extra money was worth it. Your circumstances may vary.
