Hmm why not (something to vote for). other applications where bright, even beam spread is desired in a compact package. The color temperature is only 2950K. My general assessment is that mains voltage halogen lamps like these are unsurpassed in light quality. However, they generate a lot of heat and often do not live up to their performance specifications. You have to decide for yourself whether these environmental disadvantages outweigh the superior light quality. Anyway, I just bought six more.
