Review on πŸ”‹ Tenergy Centura AAA NIMH Rechargeable Battery 800mAh - 12 Pack, Low Self Discharge Pre-Charged AAA Batteries for Solar Lights, Toys, Flashlights, Remote Control, Mice by Ken Gray

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Better than advertised

Let's be honest - I bought them for the price. Although not listed in the description, they are rated at 800mAh. After reviewing all the (low self-discharge - see) batteries available on Revain and elsewhere, I bought these instead of many others rated at 900 or 1000mAh because the price difference is crazy - most cost more than $4 for a battery, and some are up to $6 for a battery if shipping is included. At $19 for 12 batteries shipped, I argued they would be better value anyway, because let's be honest - most people lose rechargeable batteries before they've gotten around 1000 cycles. definitely. I chose the 12 pack because it allows me to spread the delivery across multiple batteries and with that amount I can replace all the AAA batteries in my house from the various remotes with possibly rechargeable ones. The first thing to do. When I received them I put them through a "refresh cycle" on my LaCross charger. It's not cheap, but in my opinion it's worth it. After a refresh cycle I drained them completely and then recharged them and to my great surprise each of them held a charge well in excess of the 800mAh stated on the packaging, going from 915 to 1060mAh in the 8 I charged. so far. With so many manufacturers being so hypocritical with the true ratings of their items (I own an Evo phone and have bought many batteries that don't live up to their supposed ratings), it really makes my day when I find something that actually works not only did it work, but it actually BETTER than advertised and at a fraction of the price many other manufacturers charge for their products. One downside, perhaps, is that the capacities of each battery seem to be a bit inconsistent - as I mentioned earlier. that range from the low 900s to the mid 1000s. However, considering how cheap they are and the fact that even at the lower end of the range it's well above its advertised capacity, I think it's really silly to use them for that to blame. If consistency is most important to you, you can always manually mark the batteries based on the actual rating shown, using a magic marker or something similar. I don't think it's worth the effort for the vast majority of people - all that really matters is that they work really great and are a lot cheaper than most.
