relegation ability. Difficult fight.

5 stars because if you want to feel like you're walking downhill, this tire is probably for you. It's really hard for me to explain a tire's performance without being direct and to the point. In my experience this is a great downhill tire but more or less average in climbing ability. Breathtaking with 3K compound. The only thing I haven't checked is the tire pressure. I've always run them at 18-20psi and never bled air. I'd really like to pressurize my tires to see how it drives even though it's in my garage. I don't find it that exciting to put it back on since I ride mostly uphill and occasionally downhill following the trail on my Trek Fuel EX8. Also, I ride a 21.5" XL frame and I'm 6ft 1" tall just to give you some stats. I would highly recommend this tire when going downhill but when it comes to climbing it just doesn't have the bite and tread pattern to pound and squirm down shaky, rocky and steep trails. Hope this helps you with your decision! I'll report back with an update if I manage to get the tire back on.
