Review on ๐Ÿ”ฅ Powerful Gas ONE GS-3900P Dual Fuel Portable Stove โ€“ Brass Burner, Spiral Flame, 15,000 BTU Output, Carrying Case Included by Derek Evans

Works well but has a few quirks

Not bad for small motorhomes. I am using it to replace an older, heavier Coleman 2 burner stove. In comparison, it's a lot lighter (good), comes with a case (good), and has a larger flame radius (both good and bad). The frying pan is heating up, and that's the main thing. A larger burner reduces fuel efficiency, especially when heating a small pot, but can distribute heat more evenly. Time tests show almost no difference between my old Coleman stove and this GAS ONE stove when boiling the same amount of water in the same pot. The case is a good idea but poorly designed; Cheap plastic fasteners will inevitably break or fall off. I love the auto igniter in the GAS ONE, the dial is simpler than Coleman's cranky button and it never fails. A major safety issue with this stove is that when using a propane tank, you disconnect the hose (on the stove) before disconnecting it from the tank, which causes propane to spurt out of the hose. Wow! Boom? Do not do that. Even if you disconnect the tank first, there is still a surprising amount of residual propane in the hose that is wasted when the hose is disconnected from the stove.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Expensive insurance
