I have a 45 gallon tank with 2 canister filters which as you can imagine is a long and expensive process for deep cleaning (and I'm definitely not new to the process). I found this product a little weird. Most of the pieces looked like plastic and the rest looked like small pieces of hard red clay. Ultimately, this product cost me at least $100 for gear/new filters, 35 gallons of H2O (I can't use city H2O so I have to buy spring water for the tank) and a lot of wasted time. After thinking I was finally done cleaning the reservoir, I put everything back together and refilled with water. I turned on the canister filters and shortly after that I noticed the whole tank was going red and then it got progressively worse. the next days. I ended up having to take it all apart again and when I opened the canister filters I saw that this product was emitting a red residue which formed a red film on everything in the tank. So now I have to start the cleaning process all over again.
