The Roborock S6 Pure lives up to its promotional claims. I've used it extensively over the past 2 months. Pros: 1) The mapping and planning app works great on my iOS devices. You can choose the strength of the vacuum and the number of passes. 2) Restricted zones and virtual walls are easy to set up and accurate. 3) The battery life allows the S6 Pure to complete my entire home without the need for a charge. 4) S6 Pure is pretty quiet even in Turbo mode (at least compared to my Roomba 985) Center stack (Robobrock S4 won this one, although Roomba 985 does a good job with that too) 6) The room and area cleaning options in the IOS app works well. My living room and hallway are cleaned very reliably every second early morning. 7) The vacuum cleaner works great in the dark. Lidar makes this possible. Camera-based robot vacuum cleaners combat this. 8) The S6 Pure accurately reproduced my home on the 1st run. 9) Since I mount the S6 Pure under a butcher's table, the in-app remote control is handy for the robot to move around for maintenance (cleaning the dust bin, mop installation, cleaning sensors and brush) instead of pulling it out of the docking station. 10) Connected to Wi-Fi on first try. No problems with WiFi coverage in my house. 11) The side brush does a good job when approaching walls where the S6 Pure starts its passage. No problems with spreading and leaving dirt behind. Cons (rather minor): 1) My version of the app doesn't allow me to "name" rooms. I understand this is available in Mi Home app but S6 Pure is not supported. That's why I use the official Roborock app. My house isn't that big so room names would be a nice feature but not required. I can distinguish the bedroom from the bathroom. 2) The mopping function works, but on the S6 Pure there is no way to stop the vacuum cleaner from washing the carpets. So with the mop attached I select only hard floor areas. This means that if there is carpet between two hard floor rooms, the S6 Pure will have to be moved between rooms unless I want to clean the carpet (which I don't). 3) The S6 Pure stopped in the middle of my bedroom once (over a month ago) with an error message about a strong magnetic field. Restart was no problem. Happened only once. Maybe poltergeists? 4) Integration with Alexa means you can only use a limited set of commands. For example: I can't tell the vacuum cleaner to clean a specific room. Comments: No consumer robot vacuum has the suction power of a good handheld vacuum, so I consider this and any other robot vacuum to be good for frequent cleaning, but not a full replacement. for a stronger rack. Conclusion: I would buy this vacuum cleaner again.
