I used some bath pillows that were just pillows. They tend to work fairly well, staying in place and thick enough to add comfort to a tub with a gentle slope at the back of the tub. To attempt. It really didn't work. This is a fairly thin mattress with a tiny pillow at the end. The pillow doesn't offer much comfort and the mattress is quite thin, but that adds to the comfort. The biggest problem with this mattress is that it slides all over the place when you move on it. I'm 6ft tall and just under 200lbs so it may stay in place better for those who are smaller and lighter. This was used in a slick tub and the suction cups still didn't hold it in place. This could work well in a hot tub with a built in lounger seat. In this case, the person lying on it would just lie on it and not move, trying to wash. This can help him stay in place. The build quality and the material it is made of is pretty standard, solid and holding up well. If you buy one of these I would look for something thicker. Overall it has better (maybe bigger?) suction cups to keep it in place and a big cushion on top. This may work well for you if you weigh less than me and are shorter than me. As mentioned, this works best in a hot bath. For me it slips too much in the bath and the pillow doesn't give any support. I doubt I'll use this again.
