God, SO much stronger than any single use material I've ever seen! Super fat! Super eco-friendly, from what they're made of to their biodegradability with a low carbon footprint. In fact, they are very attractive and stylish. They can also be used in the microwave! I bought these because I like using renewable materials and keeping plastic and styrofoam out of landfill. I've always wanted them when I don't want to mess up my regular meals, such as for pizza or kids, but also for picnics, BBQs, outdoor activities. People with children will love them - much less likely to spill anything with them. The beauty of using them is that they come from a renewable resource (naturally fallen palm branches) and are more biodegradable than styrofoam, plastic or coated paper. Not sure I would wash and reuse them as they are a bit porous but I think they might be ok for at least a few washes. I believe it said they can be washed in the dishwasher. It would be great if they also came in a large zip pouch or three zip pouches so you can use a few at a time and protect the rest from bugs and dust until you want to use them next time. I just used my own for the rest of the parts that weren't used. The forks have short tines, so they can sometimes be used like a spoon. These are now my new disposable plates. SO worth the money - just by saving on carpet stains and less cleaning! I highly recommend! You will not be disappointed! These are really great records.
