Review on πŸͺ‘ Boraam Lucas Desk Chair: Sleek and Stylish in Black by Jamie Bolen

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It went well together. Many in the reviews had issues with .

After reading the reviews I was hesitant to buy it but at $80 I decided to give it a try. Came in a box, well packaged, no damage. Set up took about 20 minutes without haste. Contains 3 types of screws of about the same size and 2 Allen keys. I'm not sure why they couldn't simplify it, but that's not my job. It went well together. A lot of people in the reviews had issues with armhole alignment. First I did this and ended up loosening two screws a bit. This gave enough room to maneuver the third propeller. Everything else went smoothly. I've been using the chair for a few weeks now and I've noticed a few things. The wheels are really rolling. However, they do not spin freely. My floor is tile so I can't try to run across the room in a single sprint. It wouldn't have been good until they ran in hard. Brown skin is black in every way. Height adjustment works perfectly. Pull the lever up while sitting in it and it will fall down. Remove the weight from it, pull the lever and it will rise. The chair really rocks. There is a knob that sets the inertia. There is also an adjustment so that the chair does not sway. This is activated by pressing the handle along its longitudinal axis. Like a bolt on a door. On the second day, my child fumbled with the seat and it stopped rocking. I was frustrated until I found out. The veneer is very weak. In fact, it can be colored. I read that the veneer was flimsy so I handled it with kid gloves during assembly and still managed to scratch it. My keyboard tray hits the tops of the armrests and picks the veneer off the armrests pretty well. I really like the design of the chair, I like the ergonomics and it looks great, so maybe in the future I'll glue real wood veneer on it, at least in the high wear areas. The seat pads look like they could be easily unscrewed, so it should be relatively easy to re-veneer or paint the underside and back if you'd like. Roll and base down
