Excellent product. Received just an hour ago, sharpened on a pocket knife (440C), no complaints. But again, I've only used it once. I am aware of the product, but in the interest of full disclosure, there is a small butt joint along the right side where there is an area about a millimeter thick with a small non-diamond one. THIS IS NOT NEGATIVE. IT IS IN ORDER. YOU WILL NEVER, ALMOST EVER, FIND A DIAMOND MACHINE WITH ZERO GRIND ON THE EDGES. Remember that diamonds don't grow by themselves on a metal plate. They are attached. And no matter how they are attached, there will be diamonds sticking out from the edge of the metal plate. Now it's a microscopic lead. But when applying the diamonds, then packing, shipping, unloading and reshaping to the consumer, ALL diamonds are not 100% flush, ALL edges that microscopically hang over the edge will break off and take a few diamonds off the edge next to it. THIS IS PHYSICS. REAL WORLD. NO PRODUCTION ITEM! And this product has the LOWEST number of bald spots I've seen from any of the previous brands I've ever bought. I'm talking 0.75 to 1 millimeter, MAXIMUM. If your success or God forbid your life depends on the base of your knife having a 1mm mark at the base of the blade that is not razor sharp. Well brother/sister, you've already screwed it up! LAUGH OUT LOUD. 😏 It's as flat and level as it gets. The diamond layer is even and wears off constantly, so you don't have rough parts, but smooth ones. It's only 1/4" thick, so if you're like me and carry the damn thing with you, its weight is barely noticeable. And if your life depends on the sharpness of the bottom 1mm of your knife, a diamond plate is heavy enough to hit someone or something in the head and give you time to kick while your attacker is stunned! LAUGH LOUD This is really a good product This is one of two brands I trust Just remember that this is a man-made item. Anything made by a man/woman will ALWAYS have minor imperfections. 🤘The product rocks. I will keep giving them my money. And honestly, that should tell you all, exactly here.
