The package does not contain a filter for the pump's inlet, therefore it would be foolish to use it to remove contaminated water from the basement. In my situation, the impeller became clogged when the pump sucked in a piece of wood during the second turn on. The guarantee was nullified, however disassembly did help. For a total of 3350r, the filter adds 1500r to the price. The low price is obviously a marketing tactic on the part of the seller. Interesting, but not reliable, is the quick-release hose installation method. If the mount fails, the pump will be useless.
