The item seemed to work pretty well for about 10 days. After about 10 days, it lost its grip and detached itself from the wall to which it was stuck. He flew across the room from the tension. Nothing broke so I just ignored it. If you're using jt for something small, it will probably work just fine. I used it on the bathroom door to keep dogs out. From what I've read, this should be the regular use of the item. My bathroom door is not particularly heavy and nothing interferes with the products.
