Review on 🌑️ SainSmart MAX6675 Thermocouple Temperature Sensor for Furnace & Kiln Measurement, Range 0-1024℃ by Jay Lee

This method was accessible through the three I/O pins and easily.

I bought this item to experiment with a future product using an ATtiny microcontroller and a MAX6675 sensor. The MCU will not have a hardware SPI interface, so I access this part via digital I/O pins and software SPI - see the MAX6675 datasheet for signal details. This method was easily accessible via three I/O pins and works over a very wide range of clock speeds (important as this will be a low power design). I've only tested this part at room and body temperature so I can't comment on how it performs at more extreme temperatures.

Pros
  • Module interface: GND VCC SCK CS SO.
Cons
  • Big and Bulky
