No support after it stopped working under warranty

Originally installed and worked fine. After 2 months it stopped connecting to the wireless network, then it stopped connecting even with a wired connection. And my WPS54G box seems to be getting really hot, almost too hot to hold in my hands. Okay things happen it's still under warranty so I'll just replace it right? Not right! It has been mentioned by other reviewers that when you call Linksys support, they ask you on your router before they even get to the print server. But it's not just…

Warning Doesn't work with all printers

After spending hours trying to print this and searching their support site. I ended up looking for my printer on their forums. It turned out that this server is not compatible with the HP Color Laserjet 3500 and 3600 series. Everything else worked fine for me and I managed to borrow a friends printer to see if it worked. Before you buy this server, go to the support forums [.] and search for your printer and see if there are any problems with it. There is no list of compatible printers anywhere

Bad design doesn't work anymore and support is terrible

It worked fine for a few months. The biggest problem I had was this: (1) It causes the attached printer to become the default printer. It's not what I wanted as I bought it for an additional photo printer and still use a nearby and connected laser printer for 95% of my printing needs. Linksys Support has confirmed that there is no workaround for this. (2) You cannot control the printer status through the print server, so you lose the ability to control the ink levels. But after a few months my…

Typical Linksys on print servers

I am currently using a second print server. The first was always very hot even when not in use. Well, a year later, it just stopped working. There is no light, nothing. The only reason I bought another one was because all my other wireless products were Linksys. This time I attached a large heatsink to one side. This one works much better. With all the hassle of setting up my router, print server, range extender (all Linksys), I wish I had chosen another provider. Now after about a year my…

Not compatible with Vista

This unit was quick and easy to install with good instructions. It prints remotely but doesn't show the ink levels on the computer and the print server doesn't show up on the network. After much trouble and troubleshooting at Linksys, they admitted that the device was not Vista compatible, that there were no Vista drivers available for download, and that they had no idea if a Vista driver would ever be available. It's disappointing that a year after the release of Vista, a supposedly good…
