Up to 50 Mbit on network adapters

Not really plug and play. It comes with a mini CD for installation, but for those of you who don't have a CD drive you can download the driver. I had to install this before restarting my computer and then plugging in the adapter. Using this computer with a cable, I get up to a hundred megabits per second. When I use it over Wi-Fi with this adapter I get up to 50. I'm happy with this result.
