I recently bought an SUV to replace my minivan so we pulled into the hold. I was planning to get a roof rack but found it inconvenient to get on the car and load and unload it. I already had a hitch, but I rarely forget to use it. Earlier this summer we used a hitch but loaded boxes onto it and tied it down with straps. It doesn't work when it's raining or we're driving on dusty roads. So I looked for an alternative. I looked at hard-walled shipping crates, but none of them were a perfect fit, and I stumbled across this tote bag. That's great. This maximizes the space on the load carrier and everything is weatherproof. Just received this so can't comment on durability but the zips and fabric are super strong. We only use 2 ratchet straps to hold it to the trunk rather than the straps that come with it as it's quicker to put on and take off with two straps than the few that come with the bag. I am very happy with the load securing system of this bag because the bag is the perfect size (even when fully open our sunroof on the SUV opens and closes), it protects the load from inclement weather, it is easy to unload and load , and the hitch carrier is made much lighter. put on and take off than a roof rack.
