I recently used my 14 inch band saw to saw through hardwood to make jewelry boxes. Bought some rigid canvases when they were reduced through the sale. After setting up the saw and making some good fencing I was able to cut the boards in half, but the cut quality was so poor it required extensive planing. Internet is everywhere but most is cheap so same day Prime delivery, bought this this Saturday morning and had it in my hands by evening. I knew it was a low voltage blade and I followed the directions when installing it. I made a test cut on a piece of ash and was pleased. The cut quality is not perfect but very good and could get better as I get used to pushing the board skillfully. without stops. I'll run it through the planer anyway, but it only takes one simple pass to erase. The blade is silent. For now I think this is a winner, but I'll also admit that I ordered a 1/2" Highland woodcutter blade just in case it wasn't cutting straight. I like it so much that if I had waited to try it I would not have ordered the Wood Slicer Blade.
