The collar is much less sensitive than other spray collars I've had. One of my thick haired dogs never gets annoyed when barking with him. It works randomly when I put it on my very short haired dog who seems to be testing it by barking more often when she wears it compared to the other collar I have that sprays her every time. And my third dog I'm using it on now who has worn other bark collars just won't bark with it thinking it's getting sprayed so he does what he needs to do with it. The good thing is that it doesn't work when my other dogs who aren't wearing it bark (another collar I own sprays on my dog when other dogs in close proximity to the collar are barking). It also doesn't work when dogs shake their heads like a more sensitive collar does.
