Review on 🧒 Halo Headband Skull Cap: Unbeatable Performance - Divert Sweat, Absorbent, Lightweight by Major Lindsay

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not suitable for motorcycles

This halo skullcap has a thick neoprene band around the rim that is too tight and too high. The strap covers my ears and puts quite a bit of pressure on the earbuds, resulting in a pretty loud ride. The seams are on the outside, not flat, and while the neoprene strap is stiff, the white upper is not. When I put the helmet on it either pulls the halo down too far or tries to pinch the tips of my ears between the helmet and the seam. None of them are very comfortable. The yellow sweatband makes a nice dimple on my forehead, so I wear this piece backwards most of the time. For reference, I wear a large Shoei full face helmet and a 7.5 cap. Finding a liner for a motorcycle helmet is more of a Goldilocks problem. I've come close to this a few times but haven't found the 'right' item yet. SweatVac is (or used to be?) a nice ventilated cap that works great under a full face helmet. The tips of the ears were not wrinkled or tightened, and they did not hit the earbuds, causing deafness. However, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find them. Zahn had a small Coolmax cap that worked well but stretched easily and had to be replaced frequently. Okay I'll try different caps and see what works.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • The list will be long.
