Review on OCEANBROAD Alloy Shaft Kayak Paddle - 218Cm/86In To 241Cm/95In With Leash | Boating Oar For Kayaking by Corey Owens

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good quality! Super lightweight but a bit narrow in comparison.

I have use different paddles in PR. Here they sell you any cheap quality paddle for $50+ This one is a lot better and very light. Whoever says is heavy is just a big LIAR! Anyways, here are my recommendations for you:Perfect for calm waters and/or a companion who doesnt have much stamina with inflatable. With hard shell you could use it in open waters as long as it is a lightweight kayak and with good tracking.I used mine with inflatable aquaglide 160 angler in windy conditions and open waters. What a scary moment! Lost control of the Kayak. But lucky me I had another paddle (adjustable West Marine one). Switch paddle and regain control. Do you understand? What I'am saying is that this paddle is made of good quality but lacks a bit in design. Since the Oar is a bit longer but narrow, I felt I wasn't moving much my Kayak and was wasting energy. But when switch to a Wider oar paddle, we noticed the BIG difference right away. There you have it. I still recommend this paddle but not for rough conditions. Hope this is helpfull.

Pros
  • Sports
Cons
  • May not be as versatile as other kayak paddle options.
