I really enjoyed this humidifier for a couple of weeks until I found a big problem with it. I cleaned it very thoroughly every 3 days because contact with mold is extremely dangerous, but today I found that the nozzle (where the mist comes from) is almost impossible to clean as the unit is a long one piece piece and it there is no way to take it apart. I've tried using all types and sizes of scrubbing brushes to get in there but it just wasn't possible. All other parts of the humidifier are relatively easy to clean since pink mold is visible everywhere, but what's the point if mold is constantly escaping through the mist? If I ignored this shortcoming, I would be exposing myself to mold every day, all day long because I work from home. I now suspect that my cough and fever last week were the result of circulating mold. all day in my living room because I left the humidifier on for more than 8 hours as I live in a dry environment. Exposure to mold can lead to a number of different diseases, so I'm reluctant to return it. I LOVE it because it was effective and easy to use, but I just can't understand why the manufacturer made such an amazing humidifier with one major flaw that could potentially make people seriously ill. Note: Based on the feedback here, it seems that many people are unaware of the removable top slide block that needs to be removed (area of the water-mist converter where most of the mold is). It seems that people only clean the floor, which is not the main place for mold growth.
