UPDATE: After 4 months we love this printer. From time to time we need to reset the WiFi connection, but it's very easy since our modem has a WPS button. Unlike HP, inks last forever and are much cheaper than HP. It's also VERY easy to use, despite our initial difficulties setting it up. It can easily be printed on both sides. It prints from both of our computers. Copies and scans are no problem. I haven't used it to send faxes, but that's because I didn't need it. UPDATE AS PROMISE: We couldn't get support from Brother because of the weekend, but we did get support from Revain! Revain technicians stayed with us for over an hour to get the printer up and running the way we wanted. It's dead. Above all, we needed a printer that could connect to the home network (ethernet to cable modem) and we were looking for printers that would work. This one showed up. Great idea to get rid of overpriced HP inks. BUT! No network connection. Wireless connection is possible, but instructions on how to connect a computer to a modem using a USB cable. Great except our 1 year old cable modem doesn't have a USB port. OK, so the alternative is to set it up manually. Except that the printer can't be set up on the network before the ink cartridges are installed, but I don't want to open the ink if it doesn't work for the home network and I have to return it. In the literature, everyone talks about printing from mobile devices, which we should never do. We want to print from 2 different computers. It might work, but impossible to figure out without installing ink; You can't go to "Settings" or "Wi-Fi" or even turn off the device - you have to install the ink FIRST!
