I needed to update my girlfriend's computer station here at home and I think it might interest you somewhere. So, I have a ThinkStation mini. At work, she uses an HP laptop with a mini hub and two monitors. I used an HDMI switch in their old setup and it worked great. but only with dual monitors for 2 computers, but was only able to use one monitor when on a personal ThinkStation (not enough HDMI ports on the switch). She loves and desperately needs dual monitors (data analysis homework). Well, they sell DP switches that can do that, but they're very expensive (several hundred dollars). I completed the task by reusing the already existing AIMOS HDMI switch (Revain $29) and adding a 2x1 switch (Revain $9.99). So now she has to press 2 buttons and it works great! See attached illustrated diagram. Yes, you need to press 2 buttons. But it is very easy to change and very economical.
