I've read complaints that they can bend over time under heavy loads so I ordered enough to fold them in half. I taped the folded ones together with overlapping tape so they now act as a single bracket. To enable me to sleep at night, I hooked on a strap that runs from the center of the front crossbeam to the center of the rung of the ladder the device was hanging from (or the rung above). They did a great job with this modification. They hold their shape perfectly under a constant load of 50+ pounds. Even if you buy twice the price (and two rolls of tape plus straps), they still cost a lot less than other carrying options I've considered and are easy to put on and take off.
