Review on High-speed USB WiFi Adapter: Long Range, Stable Signal, 1200Mbps, Dual Antenna, USB 3.0, 2.4G/5G, 802.11ac, for Windows, Mac, Linux by Samuel Naidu

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Gives me the best speed so far.

I currently have an internal AC wireless card in my desktop gaming PC, but a USB Wi-Fi adapter gives you a lot more mounting options to get the best signal and performance receive. the buy is that the base has a short usb cable which really limits the mounting options. Otherwise it would be a total of 5 stars. So I bought a 6 inch USB 3.0 extender and plugged the extender into the base first. This was not good as the data transfer speed was severely impacted. It reduced my speed by almost half. So instead I plugged the wireless adapter directly into the extension cord, which still gave me enough length for optimal signal reception. . As you can see in my screenshots I have a great signal. With this new USB Wi-Fi dongle, I'm getting consistent download speeds of over 200Mbps. I have an AT&T Fiber 300 Mbps plan, so I'm pretty happy with 200+ Mbps over WiFi. That's even better than using the powerline ethernet adapter which gives me around 150-175 Mbps. The screenshot of the 2nd result is from my Google Pixel 3 where you can see the top speed around 180Mbps. In short, I highly recommend this wireless adapter. Works very well and is worth the money spent. While I like the base, the cord is too short. The base should come with a 6 inch cable for the best possible mounting options.
