I used this relay to create a custom wire harness for my 17 year old Jeep JKU. I wanted to add extra reverse lights that used the stock wiring. I didn't want to cut the stock wiring, so I bought a 17275.01 Rugged Ridge Trailer Harness to modify and adapt to my needs. Since I wanted the auxiliary lights to turn on with the factory reverse lights and also had a manual activation switch that would not interfere with the stock reverse lights, I needed a quality relay. See photos for my custom schematic. And because this relay is hidden behind the rear fender, it's partially exposed to the environment. This Fastronix relay was the perfect solution. Advantages: - Very high quality relay. - The included wired relay connector uses the standard Bosch 5-pin pinout. In extreme cases, any 5-pin relay can be used instead.
