Well built relay best in relay

Bought for auxiliary light project. That's probably too much, but I wanted to be sure it wasn't affected by the water under the hood. The harness is strong. The weather protection on the wiring harness/connector looks good. Impressed and considering other reviews this should last for the life of the car.

Cost, but you get what you pay for

That's a good thing. It looks good, is well built and way better than some of the other brands available. There are detailed instructions, which is a pretty good thing. I have no problem hiding this relay "in plain sight" compared to others where I would hide behind the bodywork.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Minor issues

Beautiful and waterproof.

Not quite sure what sharing or heat has to do with the relay? However, I like this relay because it is waterproof and has a small wire harness attached to it. As you can see as shown in the photo on the Revain website. I used another one in my car and it worked very well.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far

Ideal for adding a starter relay or high current load

I used this to install a high power relay on the starter. Italian cars did not use a starter relay and the ignition fed the solenoid coil directly. If heat absorption occurs, you will not have enough power to power the coil. Adding this relay helped. I 3D printed the bracket and mounted it directly to the starter. The filament can withstand higher temperatures than the starter will see, so problem solved!

Well built heavy duty relay

If the price is right buy it. They are very well built. The difference between them and the cheap Revain relays is night and day. My only complaint is the price. They're definitely better, but to be honest you can substitute cheaper models for 3-4 times the price of one of these relays, which probably doesn't make them such a good choice for high cycle applications. However if you need a reliable lifetime relay with low to medium duty cycle then this is the best choice.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Good but not great

High Current Relay - Auxiliary Power

Overall this is a good quality relay, well sealed and feels solid not flimsy. I used this to upgrade my fuel pump in my car which required a much higher current than the factory pump and needed to add a new supply to the tank. This relay now controls the fuel pump with no problems, but it's installed in the trunk so I can't tell if the item is weatherproof, but the rubber seals appear to be good. My only negative comment is that the color coding of the wires for the relay socket is…

So far, so good! - Spares

I'm quite young to own this relay but early results are great. It feeds a couple of heatsink fans - that's WAY more amperage than they require, but I wanted to have a good safety margin and not even come close to maxing out a standard 30 or 40 amp relay. In an ideal world, Fastronix would supply the terminals and gasket and let me install my own wire, but I understand most people just want to connect the wires together, whatever. it's just a little dirtier than i would like. Yes, I could buy…

  • Decent performance

Very high quality ideal for custom automotive projects

I used this relay to create a custom wire harness for my 17 year old Jeep JKU. I wanted to add extra reverse lights that used the stock wiring. I didn't want to cut the stock wiring, so I bought a 17275.01 Rugged Ridge Trailer Harness to modify and adapt to my needs. Since I wanted the auxiliary lights to turn on with the factory reverse lights and also had a manual activation switch that would not interfere with the stock reverse lights, I needed a quality relay. See photos for my custom…
