I bought this for my granddaughter for Christmas at the request of my children. The next day we met at my dad's and she was there at 3.5 months. She could lie down and be safe because she hasn't turned around yet. Mom made her sit up by wrapping blankets around her. Little one was so interested in the inner chamber and wanted anything on it that I think will get her crawling and moving. She stretched, turned sideways, so there's a lot going on with all these new toys. Long-term play, use them to place various items during imaginative play. Lie on it or push it when it starts to walk or crawl. Babies grow into toddlers and those toddlers usually find a way to play with all the toys you never thought they would play with anymore, I speak from experience.
