Garmin's latest map update for my Nuvi 2450 was too big to fit in the device's internal memory. I call this planned obsolescence. Although Garmin says they only officially support 8GB cards or less, I went with the 16GB card because it was only $2 more expensive and if it didn't work I could get it on another use location. The map update was successful and the device works as before. Now I have a lot of free space to store more vehicles, voices, pictures, etc. The speed of navigating the map has not changed either. I would have guessed that the class 10 card was probably overkill, but for the price it seemed like a good deal. I have other Transcend cards and they are all very reliable.
