I bought this with great skepticism and in fact this tool is useless. I would buy a suitable tool (the long tube that fits over the tie rod); In my case, however, the inner tie rod was so bent by the wheel impact that this tool could not be passed through the tie rod. This tool does not cut into the inner tie rod at all and simply slides along the shaft. I need to cut the tie rod at the bend and rent/buy the right tool. Worth the money to see it's not a workaround. Might be useful for something else?
