Poor quality:

I was thrilled when I bought this for my electric scooter conversion. It arrived but I didn't inspect the details right away as I still had work to do. When my weekend came and I looked around, most of the parts were in a sorry state. I'm a senior engineer in the R&D department of a semiconductor company and I'm very good at electronics, quality and troubleshooting. The first thing I noticed were some deep ridges, cosmetic scratches and melted plastic on the ESC. Everything was very well wrapped in foam so I know it's not the shipping. It looked like it had been battered and used, but when I checked the connections I realized it had never been used. Whether it was made by that seller or purchased from the seller, it shows they don't care about quality. I'm picking up small cosmetic issues because it's also to do with build standards and I'm wondering if it was built right. I have to say that without taking it apart I can confirm that they have a heavier gauge wire for the speed controller amp power so it brings some comfort from the outside. The second thing I noticed was that the motor itself didn't pierce the air cooling plate properly. I noticed metal filings on the outside and a few holes inside. It screams about the danger of sparking. 95% of the holes were not drilled to completion and this is a rush job. I also noticed that one of the propellers on the engine had snapped off. This lets me know that they don't care about quality and that there isn't a torque specification for these components, or at least they got it wrong. The third thing that really annoys me is the fact that this borders on false advertising. They advertise it as a 2000w brushless motor but if you look in a somewhat standard owner's manual it says you need a 40 amp speed controller to achieve that, or at least close to it. They claim to fit this motor with a 33 amp speed controller to keep the motor running longer and that it's actually 1600 watts, but those who have tested it have confirmed it's a lot less. Overall poor quality, workmanship and misleading advertising. makes me think its not worth the price and risk of injury and i hope this review will save someone time and money from buying this poorly made kit. If I could I would give 0 out of 5 points. Edit: I tested the multimeter and everything seems safe. No unexpected grounding and continuity, everything seems to be right. I will continue to test with a multimeter and update the review as events develop.
