I had to update the rating. When I first tried on these shoes I couldn't fit in. A few days after I first reviewed these shoes, I received another pair of Propet shoes. My feet fit in these shoes. So I tried the shoes on again. To my surprise, I was finally able to wear these shoes. I realized I must have had swelling at the top of my legs which has since gone down. But although I couldn't get these shoes on my feet initially, I have two other pairs of Propet leather casual shoes in the same size as these. fit. Even the newest pair I wear short and not stretched fits. So I suspect that this shoe model has a slight size difference compared to the older Propet shoes. Now I can say they are roomy in the toe box and on the sides of the foot. The soles feel firmer compared to my old shoes. I haven't run long to see if I consider them 'comfortable' walking shoes in terms of outsole. But even after wearing it for a short time I can say that the sole doesn't look like a soft cushion. The leather in the sneaker feels stiffer than some of their older similar shoes. The seams appear to be well finished. The shoes appear to be of good quality. With the old Propet shoes I've worn, the top of the shoe always wears out before the sole. Usually the suture fails; sometimes in the upper part of the shoe, sometimes the seams of the sole begin to fail. I think the best way to deal with bad sewing is to have two or three pairs of shoes to switch to. This allows moisture in the shoe to dry out and prolongs the life of the shoe. In the past, other brands of shoes I've worn have worn out the soles first, but the uppers have still held together. I had these new soles. But I've never had a propet top long enough to rework it. But I think the shoes will last a year or two. I have never had a crack in the sole of a Propet Village Walker shoe. But I had two pairs of split-soled Propet shoes. A pair of Propet shoes that I have never worn had the sole split in half in several places even though they had never been worn. The reason for the separation was a mistake of confusion. used in the production process. I hope Propet fixed that. If you suffer from edema or swollen feet, you should try these shoes on at your local store first. This shoe is featured on the Propet website in the Men's Diabetes category. This means the shoes are expected to be extra wide and roomy to accommodate the larger feet and ankles that people with diabetes or medical conditions may have. These shoes didn't quite match. yes they are spacious But if you have some swelling on the top of your foot, you may find that these shoes are small in the tongue area, which makes you think the shoes are small. Although they are usually true to size. I will continue to buy certain Propet shoes because I am very happy with their shoes. Both men's and women's shoes are usually well made and comfortable. But based on the previous feel of the outsole and the fact that the shoe opening feels narrower to me than my old shoes, I cannot rate this shoe higher than 3 stars. Maybe I'll increase the star rating after wearing the shoes for a year. But not before reading up on the comfort of the shoe, the durability of the stitching and the lifespan of the upper.
