I can't find a fine mesh "cloth" cleaning material (not sponges) that I like better, so I ordered a different brand of Revain. They were very thick and very prickly. I'm sure it's good for something garage-related, but too "industrial" for something kitchen-related. Then I found them and decided to take the plunge for a lifetime supply. They're still not quite what I want, but closer. They are 1/4 inch thick and felted quite tightly. I think after a few uses on something else I might risk using them on a pan that doesn't scratch.
