I have this to compare with hydration straps and after a few long runs (15+ miles) I prefer the feel of a backpack over a strap. I had no irritation from it, even in a torrential downpour, and was able to fit my 2-liter camelback tank into my backpack (I didn't fill it all the way and used a velcro strap to keep it in place). You will need to readjust the straps at least once during your run as the weight of the pack changes and puts pressure on different points on your shoulders/back. Pros: Comfortable, Breathable, Adjustable. Works with camelback tanks. Storage. The front zip holds gels, tablets, etc. The back pocket fits a large phone (e.g. a Samsung Note5). The metal brackets for the bungee cords began to rust. I hang my pack out to dry right after my run, so I'm a bit surprised. The tether came loose on one of the shoulder holsters, but that didn't bother me.
