I just found the same thing on ebay from eclectic_mart@yahoo.com for $189 free shipping! I called Revain, they said the price doesn't match but they will allow me to return it. Sorry Revain, I've placed my order and am sending Revain back. Revain is always a few dollars more expensive, but it's worth it. This is the first time I've found such a huge discrepancy and I won't forget to check Ebay in the future! I've had him for a few days now. The battery lasted a day or two and takes a long time to charge. So I paid Best Buy $100 to plug it directly into the battery in the car my 16-year-old daughter uses (and my 14-year-old son craves it). I was thinking of just cutting off the car charger plug and plugging it into the car wiring. Luckily I didn't try that as there is a resistor in the connector. The correct way is to buy an outlet that you plug in (always or only when the car is on) and plug in the plug all the time. Best Buy did a great job of hiding this. The few days I had had great tracking! It displays position every ten minutes, or you can get continuous tracking at ten-minute intervals. It shows the location, speed and direction of the vehicle. It costs $300 plus $180 for online tracking. But after reading about all the problems with the competitor's device, I'm very glad I bought this device so far. It has a hand function designed to alert you via email and SMS to your mobile phone when the car is moving. It can be armed from the computer after the car needs to be home overnight. This feature is currently not working on my device. I emailed tech support today and hope to reply here if they reply. The hand function is great for kids who can make an unauthorized copy of a key and sneak away on a midnight jaunt (not that we parents ever do - chuckle). But even if the hand function doesn't work, I can always view the location where the machine has been for the last day or days and record any unauthorized activity. I think it's cheap for peace of mind. Where are my child and my car and how fast are they going?
