After buying and returning two others I finally got one that not only worked well but far exceeded my expectations. This remote control is very flexible and can be customized according to your needs. For example, if you only want the TV to turn on for a specific activity, you can easily set that up. If you want your cable box, TV, and receiver to turn on together for another activity, you can easily set that up too. You can also easily create titles for your promotions. For example, in the pictures you can see that I have created 4 activities: (1) Watch TV (2) Listen to the radio (3) Stream (4) Listen to music. You can also see that I connected the remote to 4 devices: Sharp TV, Phillips DVD, Insignia AV (receiver) and Samsung DVR (cable box). To set up the remote control, you must be able to use the computer as ALL. Setup is done on the computer. If you want to add a new device or add/change an action, you have to do it from your computer. However, you will need the following information to set up your devices: (1) Manufacturer name (2) Model number. If you connect your devices through the receiver, you also need to know the input for each device to the receiver. For example, Input 1, Aux, Tuner, Video 1, etc. etc. All! Very good product.
