My office needed more pillowcases. As we are a healthcare facility we needed something that would protect the pillow under the paper pillowcase and be easily wiped clean with disinfectant if needed. This product seems to meet our needs so far. Vinyl is softer and "flexible" than some of the other finishes we've used, and while it's not opaque, it feels like it's very durable. If office use causes the vinyl to deteriorate or crack I will update. I would also like to point out that this pillow protector will even fit a standard oversized padded pillow. But to be clear, you will only receive ONE pillowcase with your order. The questions and answers about this product on Revain led me to believe that you would receive TWO pillow protectors, which is not at all correct.
